Why in the Cell am I so Tired?!

If you feel you don’t have enough energy, it may be because your body has problems producing enough ATP and thus providing cells with enough energy. There are ways to help our body produce more ATP and replenish dwindling energy levels. The most common strategies revolve around three basic concepts: diet, exercise, and sleep.

My Prescription for Living Long and Strong

If you know me or my wellness philosophy at all, then you would know that I am not – at all, even remotely – a proponent of prescriptions in the form of pills, patches, potions, lotions, or anything chemical, synthetic, or chemistry-lab created. I avoid it at all costs, of course there are times when it is necessary, but many times IF we knew the power of prevention we may make better decisions so that the doc would not grab a pad to write a prescription for you.

Family Health

Family Health depends on the leaders of the family.  Kids follow our example.  Usually, they love what we love and hate what we hate.  We lay the foundation for their future with the choices we make . . . first for our selves, since no one responds to the saying, “Do as I say, not as I do.”  Lead your family to health by leading by example.  The rewards are endless!  I’m here to assist with you and your Family Health!

60 Goals by 60 Years Old!

60 Goals by 60 Years Old!

Lego is celebrating 6 decades with Stephanie Wolfe! It’s okay, I’ll share my 60th years with the most famous toy in our country.  BUT, I’ll bet they didn’t plan to complete 60 Goals by 60 Years Old!  I did!  It is my 60 x 60 List! (60 by 60). You see, I found out that Lego and I will be 60 years old this year.  (Well, I already knew I’d be 60, but I didn’t know about Lego.)  Yep, I leave the 50s behind on July 11, 2018.  My goal since January has been to complete a list of things I want to do by the time I turn the big 6-0! I have been working through my list with enthusiasm (and some anxiety since anyone who knows me, knows I am ruled by lists; my lists have lists).

Cost of Eating Healthy

The benefits of eating healthy far outweigh the cost of eating healthy.  If you have ever said or heard someone say, "Healthy eating is too expensive!" or "I can't afford to eat organic." Well, I bet you don't hear it as much as I do!  However, I LOVE to hear this! I...

Stevia is a Plant. Truvia is a Product.

Stevia is a plant.  Truvia is a product.  Stevia is grown.  Truvia is manufactured.  Stevia is a green plant.  Truvia is in a green box.  Stevia is a leaf.  Truvia has a leaf on the box. Stevia is a sweet plant leaf.  Truvia is an artificial sweetener. The word Stevia...

Chemical foods, fake foods, chemistry lab foods, dangerous foods!

The middle isles are filled with pretty packages, marketing slogans, celebrity faces, current buzz words BUT the ingredients are neurotoxic, endocrine disrupting, obesity generating, and cancer producing! Sadder than that is the fact that people eat these foods and don’t make the connection that it is the very food that they are spending their hard-earned money on that is contributing to their anxiety, inability to focus, pain in their bodies, brain fog, illness, disabilities and need for medication that they are spending more of their money (or our money if they are on government assistance). Educate yourself. Make wiser decisions this year than last year. Care about this.

Make 2018 New Year Resolutions with Me, Your Board Certified Health Coach!

Did you make a New Year’s resolution this year? How did it turn out? If you’re like most people, you didn’t get very far. In fact, a commonly cited statistic suggests that only 8% of people keep their resolutions. There are many reasons for this, but they can be summed up this way: changing our behavior is hard, and most people don’t know how to do it successfully. This is a huge problem, and I see it every day in my practice.  It is now clear that that the number one cause of the chronic disease epidemic is not genetic, but behavioral – people making the wrong choices about diet, physical activity, sleep and other lifestyle factors.
