I am a two-time cancer survivor – clean since 1999!
I became a student of whole food nutrition at 40 years old, after my second bout with cancer and I had lost more body parts! I study health from a whole food standpoint and I believe that it is the key to prevention of illness and disease. I have been writing and teaching on the subject ever since. There is so much misinformation that confuses people, and they often give up trying to understand it. There are too many “salesmen” and not nearly enough educators. The basics are so simple. Eat a primarily plant based diet. Eat the food that God created for food, and leave the rest alone. Eat it as close to the way that God created it as possible, before “man” gets their hands on it. Be mastered by nothing. My story lead me to answers I can live with! It is now my goal to share this life-giving message with others.” 75% of all disease is preventable. I believe in prevention over cure, and I believe that we need to be our own healthcare provider. I intend to help prevent disease by educating those with the fork in their hand!

My Family is my WHY!
Our sons, our daughters-in-law, and especially our three precious grandkids are why I chose a profession in health and wellness. They walked me through my cancer experiences and they prayed me through some of the toughest days of my life. I made nutrition my friend after that and it has given my life new meaning and purpose. I hope that in some way my life has been a contributing factor in their wellness journey. My son, Chad completed a Half-Iron Man last year; all 9 are active basketball players, runners, tennis players, dancers, and gymnasts, and all have been inspired to continue to learn and grow as individuals and families. My husband and our sons and their families have changed their lives applying L.E.A.N. principles. It can change yours too!
Your quest for a health coach for your nutrition journey may be a long one, but I will share one thing with you that could make it easier for you to rule me in or out. I believe that God created my body and therefore knows how best to fuel it. I do not believe that we can find lasting solutions in pills or potions and I also do not believe that prayer heals everything. I think that there is a divine partnership between these. I am a whole food health coach with personal experience, education, and a heart to help groups, families, and individuals to live a healthy, productive, and active life using whole food nutrition and a lifestyle of healthy choices.

Master Certified Health Coach
Stephanie received her Health Coach Certification in 2014 and went on to receive her Master Certification in 2016, both from the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute, founded by world-renowned physician and author, Dr. William Sears. The Institute is a leader in science-based health and wellness education that focuses on the four pillars of health: Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude and Nutrition (L.E.A.N.). A certification by the Dr. Sears Wellness Institute is obtained only after completing the extensive course work and meeting all requirements. Once certified, a Health Coach possesses the knowledge, tools and resources to make a positive difference in the health of others.
Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach
Stephanie continued her education and training to become a National Board Certified Health and Wellness coach in 2017. This training allows Stephanie to work with clients individually through a step-by-step process using advanced coaching methods, offering them full access to resources and tools to support them throughout the entire coaching process. Her proctored 4 1/2 hour exam written and controled by the Board of Medical Examiners took months of study, research and preparation. Board Certification is the foundation of her success using coaching methods such as motivational interviewing and appreciative inquiry to assess the stages of change and provide each client with individual attention as the gain momentum towards their health and wellness goals.
