12. Bartering food with neighbors and friends
Save money on groceries by trading food items with your friends and neighbors in your community. This is also great if you have more food items than you or your family needs. It is sort of like your own co-op with no administrative fees!

13. Have a Weekly Potluck Dinner!
Invite your healthy eating friends to begin a weekly event. This is the easiest and most social way to save money. Once a week (or however often you choose), have a healthy potluck dinner with your family, friends and neighbors using organic foods. Assign one or two dishes to each person, or simply give each on a category let them bring what they want. For the price of two side dishes, you’ll have access to a full banquet of delicious, nutritious food. Host homes can be responsible for the meat/main dish and rotate from house to house.

14. Make Your Own Dairy
If you are an avid cook or feel particularly adventurous in the kitchen, you can really stretch your dollars and make your own grass-fed yogurt and butter from pastured or raw milk. For a DIY quality butter recipe, please refer to this link: http://www.foodrenegade.com/how-to-make-butter

15. Make homemade ice cream and make some memories!
It is much healthier and it is a great family event! A sundae bar with your favorite healthy toppings (berries, bananas, nuts, etc.)

16. Bake Your Own Bread
I buy my wheat and non-wheat grains in large Gama sealed containers from Bread Beckers in Woodstock, GA. They ship around the world. http://www.breadbeckers.com In fact, I buy a lot of my baking supplies from them (honey, nuts, etc.) I use the WonderMill GrainMill to mill my wheat and the Zojirushi 2 lb. Home Bread Maker to bake it (vertically is best). You can also make your own delicious, sprouted bread at home. For more money saving goodness, use this simple, yet hearty gluten free recipe.
