If optimal health is your goal, there’s no getting around your diet. And by diet I don’t mean the restrictions you place on your eating; I mean the choices you make in the food you choose for FUEL. Food is fuel. It is not a counselor, comforter, or answer to boredom! Food is not the enemy. Food is a tool – use it wisely and build a strong body, but use it foolishly and you can hurt yourself! Your physical health is a direct reflection of what you put into your body, and how you live your life in general. Prepackaged processed foods may be convenient, but cooking from scratch with fresh unprocessed ingredients is an absolute must if you want to improve your health. Consuming a wide variety of different fruits and vegetables is one of the best ways to maximize your nutritional benefits. Also consider your nutritional ratios. Most Americans need a lot more healthy fats in their diet, and less carbohydrates and protein. For guidance on more ideal nutritional ratios, we would need to meet so that I can see where you have been, where you are now, and where you want to go.
